Cliff is definitely the social person in our family. And since so many of our friends have moved (Afflecks, Greens, Johnsons, Scotts) he's been trying to find us some new friends. So last night we had lasagna with a family from our ward. It turned out that Joe and Amy are our long lost twins. We spent so much time talking that it was 8 o'clock before we knew it and they had to leave before their 2-month-old got hungry again.
But poor Elizabeth! There were no kids for her to play with (Catherine was napping) and the adults were too busy talking to notice her. I also had forgotten to tell her that we were having guests so she wasn't quite sure about these people and didn't know who they were. At the beginning of dinner, she crept up to me and quietly asked, "Mom? Are these our news friends who have a little girl named Elizabeth?" Poor thing! It's hard when your friends move away! I'm looking forward to the school year when she can find new friends who may stick around for a while.

Elizabeth is really social. When she gets to school, she will have no problem with friends, except they will be from another part of town.
Poor Elizabeth. Sophie misses her so much. She will have a great time at school with a bunch of new kids to meet.
Changes are tough, especially for little ones. Jake is having a hard time not having Lizzy, Rachel and Jorgan around.
