Cliff runs the Rebel Challenge at Disneyland. That’s a 10K and half marathon in one
weekend.
Our beautiful little daughter, Genevieve was born! Grandma and the girls decorate for her
homecoming.
Lexa turns 4 with a UNLV themed party. Her cake is giant and delicious!
Elizabeth turns 10 with an art themed party. I decide not to invite boys to her parties
anymore (besides cousins, of course) because they’re obnoxious.
Genevieve’s blessing draws a small crowd. She wears the same dress as the other girls
with a bonnet handmade by my friend, Paula.
We spend almost a week in southern California; 2 days at the
Star Wars Celebration, one day at Knott’s Berry Farm, one day at the beach, and
2 days traveling. Everyone had a fun
time and everyone got sick when we got home.
I go back to work.
Nothing has changed in my office.
Cliff, on the other hand, has to get a new routine down.
Elizabeth goes on a field trip to Calico Ghost Town. She takes over 200 pictures with an old
digital camera.
We spend Memorial Day weekend at the cabin. Unfortunately, Elizabeth was sick the whole
time. Also unfortunately, it snowed and
we were not prepared for that.
We visited Salt Lake City for Tyler’s baptism and super-fun
parties. Cliff kept up his streak of
getting sick/hurt whenever we visit.
This time his whole back and neck muscles stiffen up.
Catherine turns 7 with a big Batman birthday party. She wanted Batman songs so she could do the
Bat-dance, but chickened out when the actual time came to dance.
Elizabeth and Catherine go with Grandma and Grandpa to
Disneyland. They were actually there for
the 60th anniversary day.
School starts!
Elizabeth goes to 5th grade, Catherine to 2nd
grade and Lexa to preschool and speech therapy.
The next week, Elizabeth has musical theater class, art club, and choir
practice, while Lexa has two dance classes and Catherine and Ellowyn each have
a dance class.
Cliff and I go away to the cabin for my birthday weekend and
return in time for my 40th birthday party at Mom and Dad’s
house. It’s a great party with fun games

Ellowyn’s birthday is next and she turns 3. She kept changing her mind about the cake she
wanted, but finally settled on Ariel.
For Halloween, our family actually had more superheroes than
princesses this year. Also, we kept the
everyone-has-been-Snow-White streak alive with Genevieve.
Cliff and I get away again, this time to Disneyland. He runs the races and I planned the
outfits. We were Snow White and the
Prince.
Cliff turns 43 with a little birthday celebration and
tickets to the new Star Wars movie.
We drive up to visit Marianne for Christmas. Snow on Christmas Eve made it magical
(especially for Lexa) even though 14 people (and towards the end, 21 people)
made it a bit hectic.

That's a lot of dance classes. :) When you wrap it all up like that it sounds like an all around good year. Except the being sick parts, those are never fun.
